Service Description
This bundle is designed for Registered Managers who need safeguarding to be consistent, defensible, and lived in practice, not just understood in theory. It supports teams to operate safely on shift, apply safeguarding thinking in real situations, and clearly articulate their decisions when it matters most. The focus is on how safeguarding actually shows up day to day, during incidents, handovers, recording, and inspection conversations. The bundle brings together three sessions that work best as a set: Safeguarding in Residential Childcare Grounding staff in clear safeguarding frameworks and expectations, with a focus on how safe practice looks and feels in real residential settings. Learning from Serious Case Reviews Moving beyond historical knowledge to practical application. Staff learn how lessons from past cases should shape everyday judgement, decision making, and responses on shift. What Ofsted Actually Want to Hear Helping staff and managers confidently explain their practice using real examples, clear language, and defensible safeguarding reasoning during inspection. All sessions are delivered remotely and are discussion based and reflective. Each session is priced for up to ten attendees, with flexible dates to fit around rotas and operational pressures. About Our Services Whys2Wise provides professional development and training for professionals working in residential childcare, fostering, education, and related care services. Training is educational and practice focused. We do not provide therapy, counselling, clinical services, or regulated care. 2. Bookings and Payment All sessions must be booked through our website or by written agreement. Bookings are confirmed once payment is received, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices apply per session as advertised. 3. Cancellation and Refunds Client cancellations: More than 14 days before the session: full refund or reschedule 7 to 14 days before the session: 50 percent refund or reschedule Less than 7 days before the session: no refund, one reschedule may be offered at our discretion Non attendance without notice is non refundable. If Whys2Wise cancels a session, clients will be offered a full refund or alternative date. 4. Training Scope and Responsibility Training supports professional understanding, judgement, and reflection. It does not replace organisational policies, statutory guidance, safeguarding procedures, or professional supervision. All practice decisions remain the responsibility of the individual and their organisation. Whys2Wise is not liable for actions taken following training. 5. Safeguarding Whys2Wise is committed to safeguarding. If safeguarding concerns arise during training, participants will be encouraged to follow their organisational safeguarding procedures. Where there is an immediate risk, we reserve the right to escalate concerns appropriately. 6. Confidentiality and Conduct Participants must not share identifiable information about children, families, or colleagues. Professional and respectful conduct is expected. We reserve the right to remove participants for inappropriate behaviour without refund. 7. Recording and Materials Sessions must not be recorded without written permission. All materials remain the intellectual property of Whys2Wise and may not be shared or reproduced without consent. 8. Complaints Complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the session. We aim to respond within 14 working days and resolve concerns fairly. 9. Data Protection Personal data is handled in line with UK GDPR and used only for service delivery and administration. 10. Liability and Law Liability is limited to the value of the booked session.
